Former Indian captain Virat Kohli is all geared up to play in the 16th edition of the Indian T20 League. Virat has now joined his team members in the Bangalore Camp ahead of the promising season that begins on the 31st of March.

The 34-year-old was spotted as he joined his team in Bangalore. An image of the same has been doing rounds on the internet. The Men in Red will begin their campaign with a match against the five-time champions, Mumbai, on the 2nd of April at their home ground, M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

This will be Bangalore’s first home game since the 2019 season. The tournament has been played at different venues for the last three seasons due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. The 2020 season was held in the United Arab Emirates. The first leg of the 2021 season was held in India, while the postponed second leg was held in the UAE. The 2022 season was held at four different venues in Mumbai and Pune.

In the meantime, the Bangalore franchise is gearing up for their Unboxed event on the 26th of March at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The team will add former cricketers AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle to their Hall of Fame and also retire their jersey numbers as a sign of appreciation for their services to the team.

The stadium, which has a capacity of nearly 40,000 people, is expected to be packed for the Unboxed event, and the tournament is expected to draw large crowds in each game. The MS Dhoni-led Chennai team will take on defending Champions Gujarat in the opening game at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
