Simon Doull has become the centre of all attention for his harsh comments on Pakistan skipper Babar Azam during a game in the Pakistan Super League. Fans have been trashing the former New Zealand cricketer for undermining Babar’s century for Peshawar Zalmi against Quetta Gladiators.

A fan has now sent threatening and harassing messages to Doull. The broadcaster shared the screenshots of the messages he revived from the fan. “Shut up simon doull bitch mother fucker don’t say anything against babar i will fuck you ok so shut up and go to home other wise i already fuck your mother and sister,” wrote the user.

While Doull did not respond to the message directly, he strongly captioned the post he shared. “So sorry to have upset you Feroz. It’s just an opinion and I get paid for it. It’s ok if you don’t agree but this language is never ok. And my mother has also passed,” he wrote.

In the meantime, fans have come to support the former Kiwi player. Some fans even suggested that the harasser should be arrested. “what ever Sdoull said it’s just an opinion you agree or not agree That’s your right but the language you used not acceptable for anyone we feel shame as a Pakistani I’m really upset and feel guilty. I apologies on his behaviour .he just shows from which family he belongs,” a user wrote.

It has to be team first: Simon Doull

In the match, Babar Azam‘s century helped his team to 240/2 in 20 overs, which Quetta chased down with 10 balls to spare. Following Babar’s century for Peshawar Zalmi, veteran New Zealand cricketer Simon Doull slammed the star batter, accusing him of putting his “personal ambitions” ahead of the team’s. Doull, who was commentating on the game, noticed the gear shift and immediately chastised Babar.

“Rather than putting the team first… the last little while, that’s all that been happening. Rather than looking for boundaries, still, so much firepower to come. Hundreds are brilliant, stats are great, but it has to be team first,” Doull said during the match.
