Twitter Reactions: Umesh Yadav, Ajinkya Rahane lead Kolkata to an easy win over Chennai
In what was expected to be a close contest, turned out to be a rather one-sided affair as Kolkata beat Chennai by 6 wickets. Kolkata won the toss and opted to chase. Their bowlers were all over Chennai batters as the Ravindra Jadeja-led side had no answers to the opening burst by Umesh Yadav and Shivam Mavi.
Yadav accounted for both openers, Ruturaj Gaikwad (0) and Devon Conway (3), leaving Chennai tottering at 28-2 in four overs. Robin Uthappa played some crisp shots but was dismissed for 28. The wicket of Ambati Rayudu broke the spine of Chennai batters. Jadeja and Dhoni were at the crease in the 9th over. The duo struggled against Kolkata’s spinners and failed to break the shackles.
At one time, Chennai looked like finishing around the 110 run mark. However, the fans got to witness the Vintage Dhoni as he launched an attack on the Kolkata bowlers. He went on to score 50 off 38 balls and pushed Chennai to 131-5.
The target was not a big one but the bowlers had something to defend. However, Kolkata hardly broke a sweat in the chase and cruised to the win by 67 wickets. Ajinkya Rahane top scored for Kolkata with 44.

Here, for all those who needs to hear this:The rate at which Dhoni and Jadeja played for CSK sparring the last 3 overs in Wankhede in a T20 is a daylight crime
Taking deep? While loosing it in middle overs itself?

It's okay… Just our first game out there… The boys will come back stronger… Maheesh Theekshana should have played today ahead of Santner.. Second option should have been Jordan… #IPL2022 #CSKvKKR
