Watch: ‘Tum haare, tum haare’- Zimbabwe fan trolls ‘maaro mujhe maaro’ guy Momin Saqib after victory over Pakistan
Pakistan cricket fans are being trolled left right and centre.
Pakistan cricket fans are having to live a nightmare they hadn’t ever seen in their sleep. The Men in Green earlier lost to arch-rivals India and then were given a huge shock by Zimbabwe. In their second match, Zimbabwe came up with a thrilling win against Pakistan subjecting them to a mighty fall to fifth place in Group 2.
Following the disappointing loss, Pakistan fans are getting trolled on social media as well as in real life. An example of this trolling was seen in a video posted by the “Maaro mujhe maaro” guy, Momin Saqib on his Instagram. The video which has gotten in excess of 1 million views and 180,000 likes shows a Zimbabwe fan saying, “Tum hare, tum hare (you lost, you lost) to Saqib’s face.
In his response “I am happy for you, but I am sad for myself. Haan main haar gaya hun, but haar ke jeetne waale ko Baazigar kehte hain,” Saqib said.
He continued, “Chalo achha hai, they played well, so you know, I congratulate you. Of course, I am sad, it’s not that I am sad for your win, I am sad for my loss. It’s okay today you won, but one day we will win.”
Here’s the video:
The Zimbabwe fan then starts to chant, “Zi Zi Zimbabwe, Zi Zi Zimbabwe,” to which Saqib says, “Pa Pa Pakistan,” following which the two supporters shake hands and call it a day.
Select average people, get average outcome- Shoaib Akhtar
Pakistan failed to chase down a small target of 130 runs against Zimbabwe and lost by one run. Following their disappointing loss, many former Pakistan cricketers have criticised the Babar Azam-led team. Shoaib Akhtar one of Pakistan’s greats said, “Very very embarrassing. Really really embarrassing. Aur select karo average logon ko. Aur select karo average team management and average PCB. This is the outcome, I am super super disappointed. After losing against Zimbabwe, it would be very difficult to qualify and it would depend on permutations and combinations. But why do you put yourself in that situation? That’s why I said it two months ago in a video – you keep selecting average people and you will get average outcome,” Akhtar said in a video he posted on social media soon after Pakistan’s loss.
