Top 3 knocks of Suryakumar Yadav in T20Is
Suryakumar Yadav has the most number of centuries by an Indian in the T20I format.
Suryakumar Yadav has always been in tremendous form in T20 Internationals. He has been one of the most reliable players in the format for the side. Suryakumar Yadav has taken over the number 4 spot for himself and his flexibility allows other batters to play according to their preferred batting position.
The right-handed batter was named Team India’s upcoming skipper for the T20I series against Australia. He would be the 9th T20I player since January 2021 to lead the side in the format. Ahead of his epic debut as skipper, let’s take a look at his top knocks in the format.
Top 3 knocks of Suryakumar Yadav in T20Is
3) 112(51) vs SL, 2023, Rajkot
In order to score his third T20I century, Suryakumar had his own with the Sri Lankan bowlers. He smashed them for fours and maximums at whim and in his signature style all over the park. He brought all the shots in his textbook for this glorious knock in Rajkot.
It took Surya only 19 deliveries to surpass the 100-run milestone after he finished his fifty-six balls. In the last over, he struck a four and a six against Chamika Karunaratne to round up the innings in fine fashion. In Rajkot, Suryakumar hit nine sixes and seven fours on his way to a century.
2) 117(55) vs Eng, 2022, Nottingham
In the third and final Twenty20 encounter versus England at Trent Bridge, Nottingham, Suryakumar Yadav made 117 in 88 minutes from 55 balls including 14 fours and six sixes to earn his maiden century in 17 innings in 19 matches.
Suryakumar Yadav’s 117 is also the second-highest score in the format for India. The first one still belongs to Rohit Sharma who scored 118 in 43 deliveries. He still holds the top score ever for India against England. However, this knock of Suryakumar went in vain as his side was not able to chase down the England total.

In the second Twenty20 International against New Zealand on Sunday at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui, Suryakumar Yadav scored his second century. He gave a big smile and hugged his skipper Hardik Pandya after completing his second T20I ton.
With two straight fours from Lockie Ferguson during the 19th over, Suryakumar hit the three-figure milestone. The 19 runs came from Suryakumar’s bat. With 11 fours as well as seven sixes, he scored 111 from 51 balls to finish unbeaten.
