When Messi moved to PSG, many thought it to be a retirement home for the former Barcelona player. His performance in the French League 1 in the first season more than proved the doubters right as well. In 26 matches, the Argentinian scored just six goals in Ligue 1 and none in the Champions League.
This season, however, fans are treated to a Messi from Barcelona days. So far Messi has scored 6 goals and 9 assists in just 11 League 1 matches. Additionally, Messi has scored 4 goals and assisted 3 in the Champions League this season. So far the diminutive Argentinian has scored a total of 23 goals and 12 assists in 26 games in 2022. This level of performance is worthy of winning any tournament, even the world cup.
