It’s nearly impossible to leave Virender Sehwag off such lists. In December 2011, the swashbuckling opener recorded a 112-ball 150 on his way to his famous double century against the West Indies in Indore. Batting first, his 219 (149) helped India to 418/5 in 50 overs and a 153-run victory.

A double-century from him seemed almost inevitable at the time, despite the fact that only Tendulkar had achieved the feat before him. His free-flowing style enabled him to get 25 fours and seven sixes, the majority of which were behind the square.

2. Virat Kohli- 106 balls vs Sri Lanka, 2023

Virat Kohli‘s aforementioned 150 is the second-fastest by an Indian in one-day internationals. The talisman right-hander also broke India’s record for most ODI centuries. It was his 21st, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s previous best of 20.

With this century (45 centuries) he also crept closer to Tendulkar’s record of 49 ODI Centuries. The former Indian captain also became the fifth-highest run-scorer in the format, surpassing Mahela Jayawardene by 104 runs.

The fastest Indian to 150 played his best innings only a few weeks ago. Ishan Kishan, a non-regular in the ODI squad, came in for the injured Rohit Sharma in the final of the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh. India had already lost the series, but the youngster had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shine ahead of the 2023 World Cup.

He smashed a scintillating 210 off 131 balls, brutally clearing the boundaries against everything Bangladeshi bowlers threw at him. He hit 150 off 103 balls in that game, and his scoring rate only increased from there. In total, the 24-year-old hit 24 boundaries and 10 sixes.
