Bangladesh fast bowling star, Taskin Ahmed may be seen in the Indian T20 League, representing the newly formed Lucknow team. He has reportedly been approached by the team’s mentor Gautam Gambhir after Bangladesh’s second ODI against South Africa.

This comes after their overseas player Mark Wood withdrew from the tournament due to an elbow injury he picked up in their first Test against West Indies.

According to several stories, Gautam Gambhir is keen to have him in the team for the season. He’s now given Ahmed time till today to respond to this offer. He will seek advice from the Bangladesh Cricket Board on the matter.

If he accepts the proposal, he will have to miss the Test series against South Africa. The Indian T20 League will kick off on March 26th, with the reigning champions Chennai facing Kolkata in the season opener. On March 28th, Lucknow will play their debut game against another new team, Gujarat.

Meanwhile, the Lucknow team has begun their preparation for the upcoming season. Captain KL Rahul was seen in full flow during the net session.

Speaking about Taskin, he has played both the ODIs for Bangladesh in South Africa. He was instrumental in Bangladesh’s win over South Africa in the first ODI.
