The 6ixty tournament began with much fanfare in West Indies on August 24th. The first day saw four teams clash in the 6ixty Women’s Competition. Let’s look at the match report for those games.
Match 1: Barbados Royals Women vs Trinbago Knight Riders Women
The curtain raiser of the event brought these two teams together with BR-W emerging as victorious. Coming onto bat first, the BR-W team smashed 108/4 in 60 balls. Chloe Tyron, with 63 off of just 29, was the top scorer for the winning team. The TKR-W couldn’t reach the target as they faltered at just 80/3 in 60 balls losing the game by 28 runs. Captain, Hayley Matthews took two important wickets to stop the TKR side to a small total.
Tryon was adjudged the Player of the match for her half-century knock.

Match 2: Guyana Amazon Warriors Women vs Trinbago Knight Riders Women
TRK-W also lost their second match playing against the GUY-W team due to a poor batting performance. Coming onto bat first, the GUY-W team smashed 81/2 in 60 balls. All top three batters surpassed 20 runs to lead their team to a good total.
The TKR-W team failed to achieve this total as well as they could only muster 66/6 in 60 deliveries. Only Kycia Knight could score more than 20 runs (22) from the losing side. GUY-W won the match by 15 runs in the end. Shamilia Connell was adjudged the Player of the Match for her two wickets in the match.

Match 3: Barbados Royals Women vs Guyana Amazon Warriors Women
Match three brought the two winners of previous matches together. The two similarly strong teams played a low-scoring match in which the GUY-W came out victorious. Coming onto bat first after winning the toss, BR-W made 58/6 in 60 deliveries.
None of the top-order batters could do much and it was Chloe Tryon, again, who was the top scorer for the team (24). Cherry-Ann Fraser took three important wickets to halt the BR-W team to a low score. GUY-W chased down the target in just eight overs with the help of Rashada Williams (22) and captain Stafanie Taylor, who remained unbeaten on 33 runs.
GUY-W won the match by five wickets and Taylor was adjudged the Player of the Match in the third match of The 6ixty Women Competition.
