‘Thank You for the memories’ – Fans heartbroken as Suresh Raina goes unsold in mega auction

Published on

The two-day mega auction completed with all teams finalising their squads. It was an action-packed event as many players earned life-changing money. Ishan Kishan was the most expensive player as he was sold to Mumbai for 15.25 crores. Deepak Chahar was roped in by Chennai for 14 crores. As many as 10 players, including Shardul Thakur and Harshal Patel, also earned more than 10 crores. Meanwhile, luck wasn’t in favour of every player as several big names went unsold as well. However, the biggest surprise was Suresh Raina going unsold. Raina has been an integral part of Chennai since the inception of the tournament but the franchise ignored him for the coming season. He is one of the icons of the tournament and holds many records. The southpaw played crucial roles in all of Chennai’s title wins but the team didn’t bid for him after an average show in the previous season.

Meanwhile, the fans were disappointed to see Raina going unsold in mega auction.
