Ahead of their next home game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings are dealing with various injuries. The four-time champions have five players, including skipper MS Dhoni in the squad, who are, currently, recovering from different injuries. Dhoni, who is dealing with a knee injury, has played five matches in a row. However, ahead of their SRH clash, wicketkeeper-batter Devon Conway has kept the wicket in the practice session.

This can be an indication that the former India skipper might miss one or two upcoming games to be fully fit. In the practice session, Conway can be seen keeping wickets during one on one practice sessions. Notably, CSK coach Stephen Fleming revealed, earlier, that Dhoni is nursing with a Knee injury but there is nothing to worry about.

It’s worth mentioning that, the 41-year-old wicketkeeper-batter announced his retirement from international cricket in 2020 and only participates in the Indian Premier League. He is leading CSK after Ravindra Jadeja stepped down last year. It is being speculated that this might be his last season as a player though, he has denied it.

Ben Stokes is fully fit for the upcoming matches

In a piece of great news for the yellow Army, England Test skipper Ben Stokes has recovered from a toe injury and will make a return in the upcoming game.

“Ben is doing fine. He has returned to practice and is fully fit. He is available for selection. As for knee injury, it’s more of an injury management at the moment,” the official said.

Notably, Ben Stokes’ return will be very crucial for CSK as a team that is struggling to dish out a balanced eleven on the field. He will provide that balance in the team which will be useful for the team in upcoming games. Meanwhile, Chennai is set to host Hyderabad before playing two consecutive away games. The team will look to continue their winning run in the tournament. However, SRH who lost their last game against Mumbai Indians, will also be keen to make a comeback.
