While Cummins managed to win Test Championship and ODI World Cup as captain, he managed to retain the Ashes in England.

After all, after the IPL 2024, the T20 World Cup 2024 will take place in the West Indies and USA. Teams don’t have enough international games to prepare themselves for the tournament which is why players would want to play in the cash-rich league.

Three years back, he was the costliest player of the season with 15.5 crores and played for KKR. This time around, he will play for the 2016 winners, Sunrisers Hyderabad. The last time this team played in the playoffs was in the 2020 season, played in the UAE due to COVID-19.
