The much-awaited SLC Invitational T20 League is all set to begin tomorrow with the second match scheduled to take place between SLC Greys and SLC Reds at 3:00 pm at the R.P.S Stadium in Colombo.
A total of seven matches will be played in the league over the course of eight days. There are a total of four teams participating in the competition and all will face off with each other once in the league stage and the teams finishing in the top two will meet in the finals.
Tomorrow’s match will be a replay of the final of the inaugural edition of the SLC Invitational T20 league. The final was won by Greys last year as they beat the Reds by 42 runs to clinch the maiden title of the tournament.
SLC Greys
The Greys had a perfect tournament last year as they finished on top of the table as they won four out of their six games with two matches getting washed out. They will take the field tomorrow with their eyes set on the trophy. The Greys will be led by their captain, Ashan Priyanjan, who will be aiming for a victorious start to their campaign.

The Reds finished as runner-ups of the inaugural season of the tournament. They finished second on the points table having won three out of their six games. They lost two matches and one game was washed out. After getting close to winning the title last year, they will look to go one step ahead and win the tournament this time around.
