The much-awaited clash of cricket between India and Pakistan is back to enthral the audience once again. The two teams will meet against each other on 28th August in the upcoming Asia Cup 20-20 tournament. The fans are eagerly waiting for the competition to get underway and treat them to another thrilling encounter. The two teams last met in the 20-20 world cup in UAE last year where Pakistan beat India by 10 wickets ending their 13-0 winning streak against Pakistan in World Cup tournaments.

India will take the field looking to take revenge for last year’s loss. Virat Kohli’s bad form is a huge concern for the Men in blue. The batter has failed to score a hundred in international cricket for over 1000 days. Commenting on the star batter’s form, former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi gave his thoughts on Kohli’s future in the Indian team.

Afridi expressed his opinion during a question-answer session with his fans on Twitter. When a fan asked ‘What about Virat’s future?’, Afridi replied, “It’s in his own hands.”

Later on, he was asked about his views on Kohli’s dry run of a hundred since 1000 plus days. To that, the former Pakistan skipper replied, “Bare players ka muskhil waqt me hi pata chalta hai.” Meaning, “When times are bad, you know if the player is big or not.”

Kohli is merely looking like a shadow of his own self off late as he’s struggling to reach even the score of 50. Pakistan also has a huge concern in front of them as fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has been ruled out of the Asia Cup due to an injury. Afridi was the star of the show in last year’s victory of Pakistan over India as he destroyed the Indian top order picking up crucial wickets of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli. India also will be missing the services of their main seamer Jasprit Bumrah who’s also suffered an injury. Despite the absence of the two star players, the match is expected to be a mouth-watering contest.
