They had to bow out of the race since they did not possess enough funds.

The Gujarat Giants purchased the 22-year-old all-round player for Rs 70 lakh at the IPL 2023 auction. She participated in the inaugural edition of the Women’s Premier League. But in the four games that she did play, she managed to grab three wickets and score 48 runs. In the off-season, she was let free.

The Gujarat Titans, who had to fill the most seats, also bought Phoebe Litchfield. Litchfield is a high-value player who cost ?1 crore to join the team. Some big names that were destined to go for big bucks have gone unsold. One of the big names is Srilankan women’s team skipper Chamira Athapaththu who did not get any buyers.
