Rishab Shetty is getting ready to start filming the sequel to Hombale Films’ highly successful Kantara in Kannada in November 2023. The film’s creators have been hard at work polishing the script and pre-production phase. They are now prepared to start working on the project in late 2023. They also want to release Kantara 2 in the latter half of 2024.
According to a story in Pinkvilla, a source told the website that the project is expected to begin in late 2023 and be finished by the first quarter of 2024. The insider stated, “Rishab Shetty and his team have finished the writing and are deeply involved in pre-production. Kantara 2 will feature heavily in Mangalore, as opposed to the previous film’s location of Kundapura, where Shetty was born and raised. According to the plot, this place includes the necessary amounts of jungle, land, and water. This time, the movie has a greater budget and cast and will be made over a longer period of time.”
