UP Warriorz won the toss and opted to field first against the RCB Women. After a 50-run stand between the RCB openers, Sabbheneni Meghana had to depart. However, Smriti Mandhana and Ellyse Perry were at the top of their game as they launched an unrelenting attack on the UP Warriors.

Allysa Healy was left searching for answers as the ball travelled everywhere. Despite having a strong foundation, the UP Warriors are going to be quite dissatisfied. Smriti Mandhana has been in the form of her life as she scored a magnificent 80 runs from 50 balls to be the star of this innings. She got amazing support from Ellyse Perry as she also scored a much-needed 58 run knock.

In the end, they gave up around 70 runs during the final 5 overs. RCB has put up an incredible total thanks to some outstanding batting work. The UP Warriors didn’t have much luck and were uneasy with the ball. They missed a number of catches, and giving up 198 was not at all what they had planned.

RCB Women defend massive total with ease

The hosts had batted excellently earlier to give their bowlers something to fight for. This also ended up setting UP Warriorz a daunting goal of 199 runs, which they dutifully guarded with little problems.

The UP Warriors were mostly in control of the game during their innings before faltering in the final stretch. Despite losing wickets at frequent intervals following the opening pair’s 47-run partnership, they were still able to keep up with their asking rate.

Sadly, the middle order failed to deliver, and Deepti Sharma and Poonam Khemnar were left to fight when Alyssa Healy was dismissed for a solid fifty-five. They gave it their best shot, but RCB won by a score of 23 runs. They were unable to get their team across the finish line.
