England speedster Mark Wood missed a lot of games due to the elbow injury he suffered in March. However, Wood made his return in the Test series against Pakistan in December and helped the team win the second Test by 26 runs by taking 6 wickets in the match.

Meanwhile, the fast bowler recently grabbed attention as his old video of stripping down while taking a catch in the practice session went viral. England are currently clashing against New Zealand in the two-match Test series. Jofra Archer made a comeback into the squad, however, Wood again missed out on another Test series.

Talking about England’s ongoing Test series against New Zealand, the English side clinched a huge victory in the first Test by 267 runs. England continue to approach their famous aggressive gameplay called ‘Bazball’ in the match and won 10 out of the 11 matches under their new captain Ben Stokes and head coach Brendon McCullum.

England hoping for another series win under Ben Stokes

Both teams are currently clashing again in the second Test which is being played in Wellington. The Kiwis won the toss and opted to bowl first and got a great start as they dismissed England’s first three batters on the score of just 21 runs. However, former English skipper Joe Root and Harry Brook steadied the ship and stitched a brilliant 302-run partnership for the fourth wicket.

England declared after scoring 435 runs in the first innings. The Blackcaps came to bat and were bowled out on the score of 209 runs. England decided to give the follow on and the New Zealand batters came again to bat and this time they performed better than the first innings as they scored 483 runs, courtesy of Kane Williamson’s brilliant century.

However, New Zealand still managed to give a target of 258 runs to England. The target looks small for the English side, considering their batting lineup. England will look to clinch another clean sweep while playing as visitors. At the end of day 4, the English side are on 48 runs after losing 1 wicket.
