‘Pic of the day’ – Fans react as Amitabh Bachchan announces his next with Rajinikanth in a viral picture

After an amazing 33-year break, the famous actor Rajinikanth expressed his excitement at being reunited with his master, the legendary Amitabh Bachchan. TJ Gnanavel is the director of Lyca’s Thalaivar 170, which stars the two legends. Rajinikanth’s heart is overflowing with happiness, and fans everywhere are ecstatic about this momentous partnership between two titans of cinema.

The next film directed by TJ Gnanavel, starring Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan, began filming in Chennai on Wednesday. Updates on the project were posted on social media by the actors, who previously collaborated on the 1991 movie “Hum”. Supported by Lyca Productions, the film, which does not yet have a title, is marketed as a mass entertainer. On his official X account, a thrilled 72-year-old Rajinikanth posted a photo of himself with his guru, Amitabh Bachchan, from the movie’s shoot.

The Jailer actor captioned the post, “After 33 years, I am working again with my mentor, the phenomenon, Shri Amitabh Bachchan in the upcoming Lyca’s ‘Thalaivar 170’ directed by TJ Gnanavel. Bachchan announced on his personal social media handle that he was going to film his first scene with Rajinikanth for the film in the wee hours of the morning. The 81-year-old Bollywood’s Shehenshah captioned the picture saying, “A new project has started today, the one with Rajnikant ji .. and getting together on a professional platform, has been coming in years .. Rajinikanth was called an “extraordinary human” by the megastar. “His most down-to-earth living and nature .. his exceptional talent and his legendary presence among the greats of cinema .. and .. not even going into the catastrophic popularity that he has enjoyed through decades .. and the love and affection he has had towards my family and me ..” said Bachchan.

This movie, which Rajinikanth announced back in March, is his 170th endeavour. The film also stars Dushara Vijayan, Ritika Singh, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, and Rana Daggubati. The soundtrack for the movie, which A Subaskaran will produce, will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
