‘Pehle team main toh aaja bhai’ – Fans react to Prithvi Shaw’s claim about wanting to win World Cup for India

Prithvi Shaw believes that he can play for Team India for 12-14 more years

Prithvi Shaw is believed to be among the most misinterpreted cricketers of the current era. Social media has primarily misrepresented Shaw’s behaviour. Most recently, a mob pursued him when he refused to take a selfie with a fan at a restaurant in Mumbai. Later, a police report (FIR) was filed accusing the cricketer of molestation. Shaw was later exonerated on all counts, though.

Prithvi Shaw emerged as the upcoming star of Indian cricket. He has, however, had trouble living up to the hoopla and is now near the bottom of the food chain. Additionally, he was snubbed for the Asian Games 2023. This team will feature athletes that are not in the scheme of things for the ODI World Cup 2023 and the team will be led by Ruturaj Gaikwad.

I want to play, at least 12-14 years for India: Prithvi Shaw

Prithvi Shaw, who is scheduled to be playing for Northamptonshire hundreds of miles away from the Indian team in the United Kingdom, will try to accumulate runs in an effort to rejoin the national team.

The right-handed batter stated that he is working very hard to return to the Indian team and that he wants to help his nation win the World Cup. The Mumbai batter said, “All the hard work is just for that. That is the one dream – I want to play, at least 12-14 years for India. I want to win the World Cup for India. That is there [one big goal], I need to achieve that in my life. I need to work hard and score runs. That’s the only way to get there. I am trying, let’s see.”

Prithvi Shaw has only participated in five tests, six ODIs, alongside a single T20I so far. In Colombo in 2021, he faced Sri Lanka in his final international game. His debut was an impressive one as he scored a ton against the West Indies back in 2018.
