In the upcoming ninth edition of Pakistan’s premier T20 cricket tournament, six teams will vie for victory in a total of 34 matches. The climax of the event, the PSL 2024 final, is slated for 18 March 2024 in Karachi. The tournament commences with defending champions Lahore Qalandars squaring off against two-time winners Islamabad United at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
During the league stage, each team will compete in 10 matches following a double round-robin format. The top two teams in the league standings will advance to the qualifier, where the victor secures a spot in the final. Meanwhile, the third and fourth-placed teams will compete in the first eliminator. Live streaming of all matches will be accessible in India, allowing cricket enthusiasts to experience the excitement firsthand.
The six-team tournament, comprising franchises from Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Karachi, Quetta, and Multan, adheres to the traditional double round-robin format for the league stage. Each team faces off against the others twice before the top four progress to the playoffs. The top two teams compete in the Qualifier to determine the first finalist, while the third and fourth-placed teams compete in the Eliminator. The loser of the Qualifier faces the winner of the Eliminator in another knockout match to secure the second finalist spot.
