PAK vs AUS: Pakistan announce squads for white-ball games against Australia

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced their 20-man ODI and 17-man T20I squad for the white-ball series against Australia. Currently, both the teams are playing the three-match Test series, with the first two games ending in a draw. The first game ended in a tame draw with over 1200 runs scored in the match.

The second game was far more interesting with both teams having a chance going into Day 5. However, neither of them were able to win the game. With the series standing at 0-0, both teams will be looking to win the final game and the series in Lahore. The third and final game will begin on March 21. The three-match ODI series will start on March 29. The second and third games will be played on March 31 and April 2.

The all-format series between the two teams will end with a lone T20I on April 5. All the limited-overs games will be played in Rawalpindi. Talking about the ODI team, the familiar faces such as skipper Babar Azam, Shadab Khan (vice-captain), Fakhar Zaman, Abdullah Shafique, Imam Ul Haq, Saud Shakeel, Usman Qadir, wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan, Mohammad Nawaz, Hasan Ali, Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi have retained their places in the team.

These players were part of the ODIs squad for the tour of England last year. In that series, the Men In Green were clean swept 0-3. New players such as Asif Afridi, Haider Ali, Mohammad Haris (wk), Mohammad Wasim Jr, and Shahnawaz Dahani have made it into the ODI squad for the first time. Apart from them, players such as Asif Ali, Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah have made their comebacks. Talking about the T20I side, the team is pretty much the same excluding Imam Ul Haq, Abdullah Shafique, and Suad Shakeel.
