‘Padosion ke Twitter account..’ – Pakistanis bash Irfan Pathan for his latest tweet about Pakistan Cricket Team

Before the start of the Group 2 fixtures scheduled for Sunday, South Africa and India were likely to progress to the semi-finals. However, the Netherlands caused an upset as they beat South Africa by 13 runs in Adelaide. With that defeat, South Africa were eliminated from the tournament and it opened the doors for both Pakistan and Bangladesh.

The two teams took on each other in their last Super 12 match, later, on that day. Pakistan restricted Bangladesh to just 127 runs in the first innings, thanks to a sensational spell from Shaheen Afridi (4 for 22).

In pursuit of the target, Pakistan chased down the score in 18.1 overs and, thereby, won the match by 5 wickets.
Following the turn of events, Pakistan became the second team to qualify for the semi-finals in the Group 2. They will be playing the first semi-final match against New Zealand on Wednesday in Sydney.

Pakistan had little chance of making it into the top-four after losing their first two games against India and Zimbabwe. But, as fate would have it, they will be playing the knockouts. Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer, Irfan Pathan took this as an opportunity to take troll the Pakistan Cricket Team.

He, recently, took to Twitter to take a sly dig at Pakistan’s team. In his tweet, he wrote,

“Padosiyon ke Twitter accounts sirf SUNDAY ke naam pe zinda hai. Love it. [Twitter accounts in the neighbourhood seem to be active on Sundays.”

The tweet didn’t go down well with the fans in Pakistan and, thus, came up with numerous responses to the same.

Here’s a look at some of those:

In Group 1, New Zealand and England have managed to progress in the semis. While New Zealand will be playing against the Men in Green on 9th November, England, on the other hand, will be locking horns with India on 10th November 2022 at Adelaide Oval. The final of the 20-20 World Cup 2022 is slated to take place at Melbourne Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
