Hyderabad and India player Rahul Tripathi got himself in a weird situation in the ongoing game against Rajasthan. In the first over of the second innings, Trent Boult bowled a two-wicket maiden to start Rajasthan’s defense. First up, the left-arm pacer cleaned up Abhishek Sharma on the third ball of the innings. Two balls later, Tripathi went down the track and tried to score a boundary.

In reply, Boult bowled a half-volley going away from the right-hander. The latter put the bat down toward the ball but the white Kookaburra kissed the edge of the bat. It went towards Jason Holder took a diving catch and it was clear that Tripathi was out. However, the India player decided to review the dismissal but it was a waste.

Talking about the game, the 2008 winners were asked to bat first after losing the toss. As it turned out, it proved to be a boon for the former champions. Their opening batters, Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal scored half-centuries and provided a great start. In the powerplay, they scored 85 runs with Buttler being cleaned up with Fazalhaq Farooqi.

Jaiswal and Samson took over the scoring rate and helped the team reach 135/1 in 12 overs. Farooqi took his second wicket in the next over in the form of Jaiswal. After this, Samson brought up his fifty but the lack of support from the middle order restricted the team to 203/5. Apart from Farooqi, T Natarajan took two wickets as well while Umran Malik took one with the fastest delivery of the season (149.2 kmph).

However, at the time of writing, this total has proved to be more than enough for the team. In the first over, Boult started the procession with the two-wicket maiden. Harry Brook struggled during his innings of 21-ball 13. At the time of writing, the Orange Army has been reduced to 63/6, with impact sub, Abdul Samad and Adil Rashid batting at the crease.
