‘Mujhme kya kami thi?…’ – After divorce, Aamir Khan asks ex-wife Kiran Rao’s feedback

Published on

At a recent event, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan spoke candidly about his divorce from Kiran Rao and disclosed that he had asked her for advice on how to be a better husband. The 2005 wedding was followed by an announcement of divorce in 2021, but the couple remained close and co-parented Azad.

After revealing the incident, Aamir remarked, “One funny thing. It’s all too recent for you to be aware of our divorce. I asked Kiran, ‘What do you think I lacked as a husband?’ one evening as I was sitting down. What can I do better as I go through life? Kiran answered right away, urging him to put the points in writing. She gave around fifteen to twenty pointers, citing things like talking too much, stifling other people’s opinions, and being unduly fixated on his own.”

Shocking revelation by Aamir Khan:

Fans responded to Aamir Khan’s self-awareness in different ways. Some said they were surprised by his mature demeanour, while others said these kinds of conversations ought to have taken place prior to the divorce. Aamir Khan highlighted how fortunate he feels to have had Kiran in his life. The couple is still working together professionally; most recently, they collaborated on the movie ‘Laapataa Ladies.’

Rao recently stated, “Anyone who is married will tell you marriage has its challenges. Of course, I’ve had my fair share of arguments, but we’ve worked things out. However, it’s strange to say that Aamir and I have never really fought. Although we occasionally argue, we never get into heated arguments.”

The well-known actor noted that asking for feedback after a divorce may seem strange, but he also emphasized the value of positive communication and personal development. The public’s view of their relationship was given a distinctive twist by Aamir’s open disclosure regarding their conversations after their divorce.

In the meantime, ‘Laapataa Ladies marks Kiran Rao’s second directing endeavour following the 2010 movie ‘Dhobhi Ghat.’ On March 1, her second movie will be released in theatres. Among the actors in the cast of the movie are Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Rantra, Sparsh Shrivastava, and Chhaya Kadam.
