When Chennai Super Kings defeated Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 championship game, they changed the course of history. With Chennai winning their fifth IPL championship, the success of the team might be attributed to the famous captain MS Dhoni.

A photo of the Chennai captain carrying the “Bhagavad Gita” in his hand is making the rounds on various social media sites. He was a key contributor to Chennai’s sixth IPL title in the 16th iteration of the lucrative league. The captain of Chennai is anticipated to have knee surgery soon.

Dhoni was taking care of a left knee issue throughout the IPL 2023. He had no issues behind the wickets despite the injury, but the 41-year-old was clearly upset while hitting. He was forced to bat very far down the order because of the knee ailment, and he also had trouble running between the wickets.

Kasi Viswanathan, CEO of Chennai, recently disclosed that Dhoni would be seeking medical advice for his knee, and if surgery is necessary, it would be up to the captain to decide whether to proceed.
