MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina re-unite in London, fans react

Unfortunately, India lost the game that Dhoni attended by 100 runs.

MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina are one of the greatest batting duos to ever play the game. Known for their partnerships for India as well as Chennai in the Indian T20 League, the duo reunited again on the day of India- England’s second ODI.

The two attended the India-England match which India sadly lost by 100 runs. Fans were visibly surprised to see them together after reports of a rift between the two came out in last season’s Indian T20 League.

MS Dhoni’s popularity is well known. He is India’s greatest ever captain having won every international trophy on offer. In a career spanning 15 years, the Bihar-born batter has amassed a hoard of records that still remain unbroken. In 350 ODI matches, the wicketkeeper batter made 10773 runs with an average of 50.58. He has also played 234 matches in the Indian T20 League and made 4978 runs, winning four trophies in the process.

Suresh Raina has been the top scorer for the Indian T20 League for a long time and currently sits at fifth in the list despite not playing the last two editions. Known as Mr IPL, the UP-born southpaw was instrumental in Chennai’s success in the Indian T20 League. The batter also did really well for the Indian national side. In 226 ODI matches, he amassed 5625 runs with a strike just shy of 100. Additionally, in 78 T20I Raina made 1604 runs at a strike rate of 136.

The two batting duos were seen getting off from the same car and getting into the Lord’s stadium before the game. Later Dhoni was seen sitting in the stands. As the camera panned onto him, the whole crowd erupted in joy. Dhoni smiles in his usual cheerful way and waved to the fans.
