Mayavi joins Global Esports once again as coach for their BGMI roster

Shubham “Mayavi” Chawla has returned to Global Esports (GE), this time as a coach, at the same time that Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) has since been allowed to play again after being banned last year. Mayavi briefly joined Team Solo Mid (TSM) after severing ties with GE in August 2022, however, the team’s activities in India were suspended after that. But as he reconnects with GE, it’d be interesting to see how will he help the team.

It is known how Mayavi helped GE’s former BGMI roster to become one of the most lethal squads in the esports scenario. However, that roster was later disbanded and the players are now in a contract with Blind Esports, who recently won a major Skyesports tournament and took home a whopping amount of INR 12 lakhs.

Global Esports won the BGMI Masters Series 2022 under his guidance, which was a lan event that also got broadcasted by Star Sports. It demonstrated their aggressive playstyle and becoming the champions. This achievement strengthened Mayavi’s standing as a capable coach and strategist. However, he will now be seen coaching a new team that includes veteran BGMI esports player Harmandeep ‘Mavi’ Singh, who holds numerous gaming industry records.

Will Mayavi’s addition help Global Esports?

Mavi earlier used to play for Team XSpark, which is owned by Tanmay ‘Scout’ Singh. However, he had a really bad run with the team as they were finding it hard to even qualify for the tournaments. Now, they have decided to part ways and will now look to prove themselves that they still have the fire left in them.

Speaking of Mayavi, he became a well-known personality in the Indian gaming community, thanks to his amusing and deft casting, which also enabled him to land a deal with a renowned gaming company. Now, the news of his reunion with Global Esports is generating interest and expectation. Given their prior successes together, it will be interesting to see what Mayavi can do in his new role as coach for Global Esports. The addition of Mavi to the roster further increases the team’s performance and strategic gameplay potential.
