Marnus Labuschagne trolls David Warner after the opener gets hit on the crotch
Australia won the first Test against Sri Lanka by a massive 10 wickets.
Sri Lanka were outclassed by Australia in the first Test as the latter beat the hosts by 10 wickets on Friday. Meanwhile, a peculiar-yet funny incident involving David Warner has gone viral on social media. The viral video had David Warner got hit on his private part.
The incident happened during the 19th over of the third innings. Dinesh Chandimal was batting on 13 runs when a ball from Travis Head beat his defenses and hit his wicket. In a series of unfortunate events (for Warner), the bail having been hit by the ball went straight to hit Warner’s crotch while he was looking at the ball. Upon being hit by a bail, Warner felt sudden agony and sat on the field with pain. Meanwhile, other Australian players celebrated Sri Lanka’s wicket, oblivious to Warner’s torment.
The video is getting increasingly viral on social media and has been shared by the Australian batter Marnus Labuschagne as well. The 28-year-old tweeted the video with the captain, “How are we feeling David Warner”.

Talking of the game, Sri Lanka, notched 212 in the first innings, thanks to a characterful half-century by Niroshan Dickwella (58 off of 59). Nathan Lyon, with a fifer, was the pick of Australian bowler, while Mitchell Swepson got three wickets as well. Coming on to play in their first innings, Australia had trouble reading the spin-friendly pitch as well, but the Australia team was able to make 321.
Ramesh Mendis, with a four-wicket haul, was Sri Lanka’s best bowler. In their second innings, the Sri Lanka team was outfoxed by Australian bowling, thanks to sensational spells from Nathan Lyon and Travis Head, who took four wickets each to limit the hosts to 113.
Chasing a target of just 10 runs, Australian opener David Warne, having recovered from his unlucky hit, hit a four and a six to seal the Test match for the visitors. Marnus Labuschagne, meanwhile, did not get to bat in the second innings.
Sri Lanka and Australia will now play the last match of this series on 8th July at Galle.
