Major Tech company CEO gave updates about Virat Kohli’s knock during ODI World Cup 2023 final to employees
Ravichandran Ashwin also spoke about the mood in the dressing room after the ODI World Cup 2023 defeat.
It has been alleged that Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, a passionate cricket fan, asked for updates on Virat Kohli’s score during the 2023 ODI World Cup final between Australia and India at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
Nadella has already expressed interest in Kohli’s performance. He also watched India vs. Pakistan in the opening match of the T20 World Cup 2022, when Kohli produced one of his finest centuries to defeat bitter rivals.
While at a crucial meeting following the just finished ODI World Cup final, Nadella inquired about Kohli’s performance. While talking to New Yorker, he claimed that, “Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella is a fan of Team India – even during an important meeting, he asked for updates on Virat Kohli’s scores and batting performance during the World Cup final.”
As a self-described “cricket tragic,” Nadella has loved cricket since he was a little boy. He has expressed his appreciation for Kohli, dubbed “one of the greatest batters of all time,” in public. Kohli’s leadership abilities have also been lauded by Nadella, who described him as “a true champion.”
Additionally, Nadella has been a strong advocate for the Indian team’s global cricket promotion. He has stated that he is happy to be a member of this global cricket community and that cricket serves as a sport that can bring people together from all walks of life.
“Rohit and Virat were crying” : Ravichandran Ashwin
Recalling the events following the ultimate loss, Ashwin talked to S Badrinath via his YouTube channel. He also complimented Virat and Rohit’s leadership style and chemistry.
The Rajasthan Royals spinner said, “Yes, we felt the pain. Rohit and Virat were crying. Seeing that it felt bad. Anyways, not meant to be. This team was an experienced team. Everybody knew what to do. And then, it was professional. Everybody knew their routines, warm-ups. I think two natural leaders gave the team the space to do these two ( Kohli and Rohit) and created a vibe.”
