After that, it was the complete Cheteshwar Pujara and Shubman Gill show. After the wicket of KL Rahul (23 runs in 62 balls), Pujara walked in and joined Gill at the crease.
The two fared well and played a solid knock together. At first, Pujara was the anchor of the innings, while Gill played an attacking and intentful game. The two formed a crucial partnership of 113 runs, out of which, Gill scored the majority of runs.
The 23-year-old completed his maiden century in the longest format of the game and ended his innings with a score of 110 in 152 balls, with 10 boundaries and three sixes in his innings. #RaviAshwin will be tested in these 5-6 tests in Asian conditions. He has no option but to pick wickets or else say – 'Good Bye' to cricket.
A Bowler's job is to pick wickets. He is not picking wickets lately. @BCCI #INDvBAN #Ashwin
