Arguably two of the greatest football players of all time, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have been in a tussle for supremacy for more than a decade now. Despite not playing in the same league, they’re still being compared against each other.

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed a desire to play in the Champions League but with Manchester United out of it for this season, he must look for new pastures.

There are many clubs looking for his signature after this news became public, with Chelsea and Bayern Munich leading the line. There is one more club which is being linked to Ronaldo and that is PSG; Messi’s current club.

Football fans throughout the world have dreamt of an ideal world where these two greats could play side by side with one another for one club. Messi, however, is not a fan of this line of thought. A recent report has revealed that the legendary Argentinian has threatened to leave the club if they sign the Manchester United player. The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner, who currently plays in the attacking trio of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, sees Ronaldo as his arch-rival.

Ronaldo goes AWOL

Meanwhile, Ronaldo, who has gone AWOL from the Manchester United pre-season tour of Thailand, is all set to leave the English club. He still has a year left on his contract but once a player like him makes up his mind, contractual obligations don’t matter much.

Manchester United have recently signed Erik ten Hag as their head coach and are looking to get to their best after years of subpar performances. PSG have also gone through a change of manager after they fired the Argentinian coach Mauricio Pochettino as PSG failed to win the Champions League.

The French club has appointed  Christophe Galtier as their new coach in hopes of getting the ultimate club football trophy, the Champions League. With a good amount of Transfer Season still left, it would be interesting to see where Ronaldo ends up playing.
