India won the first ODI of the three-match contest on January 18, Wednesday and on Saturday, the two teams faced off against each other in the second clash. However, it was the toss that went viral on the day as Rohit Sharma, the skipper of the Indian team, forgot the decision after winning the toss.
To add more, the Indian skipper won the toss and took more time than usual as he recalled the team’s decision, eventually choosing to bowl first. However, the video went viral on the internet as Rohit looked clueless, forgetting the team pep talks before coming into the field. The bowlers Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami broke into laughter as they witnessed the scene unfold right in front of them.

After winning the toss, Rohit said that he forgot the team’s decision and claimed that there were a lot of talks involved post winning the first ODI. Further, the right-handed batter said that it would be ideal to bowl first on the pitch, as he explained the thought process that went behind after the thriller against the Kiwis at Guwahati on Wednesday.
“I forgot what we wanted to do, had plenty of discussions with the team about the toss decision, just wanted to challenge ourselves under difficult conditions, but we’ll bowl first. Was a good test for us, knowing that the wicket will get better to bat on and that was the challenge in front of us,” Rohit was quoted as saying at the toss.
“Bracewell batted well, but we bowled well in the end and won the game. There was a bit of dew during the practice sessions, but we’ve heard from the curator that it will not play a role on game days. We batted first in Hyderabad, we wanted to bowl first here, same team,” said the Indian captain further.
