Bangalore’s Chinnaswamy Stadium is going through a renovation phase. An image of the outfield going under the same has been going viral on social media. Recently, the ground hosted the home games of three-time IPL finalists, Royal Challengers Bangalore. In the last league of the ongoing IPL 2023, fans at the venue witnessed Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill hitting hundreds for RCB and Gujarat Titans respectively.

The latter’s hundred ensured that RCB lost and crashed out of the tournament. On the other hand, GT’s win ensured that the five-time winners, Mumbai Indians reached the playoffs. Notably, the Titans thrashed MI in Qualifier Two on May 26 by 62 runs. Meanwhile, after the image of the stadium’s renovation has gone viral, fans have given their two cents on it.

Meanwhile, India will host the ODI World Cup later this year. A while back, the Indian Cricket Board shortlisted some venues to host the games. They are Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Delhi, Dharamsala, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Indore, Rajkot, and Mumbai. Bengaluru and Chennai will host the majority of Pakistan games.

A total of INR 500 crores is reported to be allocated for the same. t will cost Rs 100 crore to revamp the Delhi stadium, Rs 117.17 crore for Hyderabad, Rs 127.47 crore for the iconic Eden Gardens at Kolkata, Rs 79.46 crore for the aging PCA stadium in Mohali and Rs 78.82 crore for Wankhede.
