‘KL Rahul’s career in danger’- Fans come up with hilarious reactions as Cheteshwar Pujara scores a fifty in 27 balls in SMAT 2022
The domestic T20 cricket tournament, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022 got underway on Tuesday, 11th October 2022. The Elite Group B match took place between Nagaland and Saurashtra on Friday and Cheteshwar Pujara took the internet by storm.
The Test veteran opened the innings for Saurashtra and wreaked havoc with the bat. He smacked boundaries all across the ground and reached a half-century in just 27 balls.
Pujara went on to score 62 runs in 35 balls, including 9 fours and 2 sixes. His knock helped the team reach a mammoth score of 203 runs at the end of the first innings.

Samarth Vyas also played a stellar unbeaten knock of 97 runs in 51 balls, including 7 fours and as many sixes. In reply, Nagaland were restricted to just 106 runs, thereby losing the game by 97 runs.
With that win, Saurashtra have now registered 2 wins in 3 matches and currently tops the table in Elite Group D.
Cheteshwar Pujara made his return to the Test side in India after a stellar outing in County cricket. He was part of the Indian team on the tour of England for the Test series.
The Indian batter finished the series as India’s third-highest run-getter, amassing 227 runs in 4 matches at 32.43. Overall, he has played 96 Tests, amassing 6792 runs at an average of 43.8.
