In order to get ready for the first Test versus South Africa on December 26, Virat Kohli has returned. The prominent Indian batter spent the last several days in London, and it wasn’t an impromptu journey brought on by a “family emergency.”

According to dependable sources, Kohli’s travel schedule was known to the Indian team management and the Indian Cricket Board. He was never going to participate in the intersquad match scheduled for Pretoria from December 20 to December 22.

A senior board member spoke about Virat Kohli as he said that, “Virat Kohli wasn’t going to play that game. The team management was aware of his plan and schedule, and it isn’t something which happened overnight or due to a family emergency. Look at the player in question, it’s Virat Kohli. He is very well planned when it comes to these things and his London trip was communicated and planned well in advance.”

Before leaving for London from South Africa, Kohli spent three days training with the team. He has already returned to the camp in time for the Boxing Day Test. After spending the following three days with the team, the former captain of India departed for South Africa on December 15 and arrived in London on December 19.

When will Virat Kohli train with the team?

The source gave the media organisation more information about when Virat Kohli will train with the team. He said that, “Kohli left India for South Africa on December 15. Had good 3-4 training sessions before he went to London on December 19. For the next few days, he was in London and has now linked up with the Test squad and will in all likelihood train in Centurion tomorrow.”

Before the first Test in the two-match series, Team India will train in the morning on December 24. After that their next training session will be in the afternoon on December 25. After that, on December 31, the team will depart for Cape Town to begin getting ready for the second Test. The final test match is scheduled to start at Newlands on January 3.
