Team India are currently busy playing the Bangladesh tour. On 10 December, they completed the ODI series. However, the series went in favor of the home side. Now, they will play a two-match Test series against Bangladesh. However, before that series, India dealt with a blow as players like Rohit Sharma and Mohammed Shami will not be available for the series.
So, reports got circulated that Jaydev Unadkat is going to replace Shami in the Test squad. The veteran pacer is going to make a comeback into the Indian Test team after a long gap of 12 years. He made his Test debut for India on 16 December 2010 against the Proteas at Centurion. So, now an old tweet of Jaydev Unadkat has now gone viral where he was seen pleading for another chance to play Test cricket.

I’ll make you proud, promise!” Jaydev Unadkat shared the tweet on 4 January 2022. Now, as per recent reports, it seemed that his wish is getting fulfilled. Recently he also led Saurashtra to the Vijay Hazare Trophy title along with their maiden Ranji Trophy title in the 2019-20 season. Now, another star Indian Cricketer, Karun Nair shared a cryptic tweet.
He wrote: “Dear cricket, give me one more chance.” Therefore, fans found that tweet very surprising as it came out of Karun Nair. This star batter had a great start to his Test career when he smashed 303* runs against England in 2016. But, after that historical knock, he got limited opportunities and failed to score big runs. After that, he even failed to score big runs in the domestic arena also. Thus, currently, he is not in contention for getting into the Indian team for any format. Meanwhile, he has played six Test matches where he has scored 374 runs, including 303* runs in that one inning. After seeing such a tweet, some fans thought that he might try the techniques of Jaydev Unadkat as it worked for the veteran pacer.
