‘It’s my only option for now’ – Kylian Mbappe breaks silence on rumours of transfer to Real Madrid
There has been a strong rumour that has been floating around France’s star striker Kylian Mbappe that he might transfer to Real Madrid, which he recently denied. The France captain also denied interfering with the preparation of the national team by drafting a letter that too four days prior to the Gibraltar fixture.
Mbappe also told that the fans outside don’t actually know the ins and outs as well as what he does and what he actually doesn’t do. The France captain also pointed out that he has the responsibility of the captain and this criticism which he has been facing recently won’t result in him running away from his responsibility.
I’ve already answered this question: Kylian Mbappe
The current Paris Saint-German forward Kylian Mbappe, speaking in a news conference, said that his goal was to carry on at the PSG club and that it’s his only option as far as the rumours related to his transfer to Real Madrid are concerned.
“I’ve already answered this question, I said that my goal was to carry on at the club, to stay at PSG, it’s my only option for now,” Mbappe told a news conference ahead of Friday’s Euro 2024 qualifier against Gibraltar in Portugal.
The star striker also said that he wasn’t that much surprised by the suggestions that PSG could consider looking to sell him now, rather than allowing the footballer to leave for nothing at the end of the upcoming season. The France striker also talked about the comments coming in from President Emmanuel Macron, who recently told that he would rather try to push for the players to stay in Paris and to which he also agrees. The World Cup runners-up are set to host Greece on Monday in Group B of the Euro 2024 qualifying.
Mbappe was recently made the captain of the national side at the beginning of the Euro qualifying in March and the team has already secured victories over the Netherlands and Ireland.
