‘It’s all about the money’ – Twitter reacts as Shikhar Dhawan claims his ex-wife threatened to defame him
After eight years of marriage, Shikhar Dhawan and Aesha Mukharji divorced in September 2021.
Shikhar Dhawan, a veteran India batter, filed a case against his estranged wife, Aesha Mukerji, in Delhi’s Patiala House Court after receiving several threats regarding his image and cricketing career. According to reports, Aesha even sent a few defamatory messages to the CEO of the Indian T20 League franchise Delhi, Dheeraj Malhotra, to tarnish Dhawan’s reputation.
Taking this into consideration, the House Court has barred Aesha from making defamatory allegations against the Indian cricketer. Dhawan and Aesha have a son named Zoravar from a previous marriage, who is currently in the custody of his mother in Australia. After eight years of marriage, Dhawan and Aesha divorced in September 2021.
“Reputation of a person is dear to everyone and is considered as property of highest degree because materialistic property can be regained after loss but reputation cannot be regained once damaged. Therefore, it has got to be protected. However, it is equally true that if anyone has lawful grievance against someone, he or she cannot be restrained from venting out his or her grievance to concerned authority,” the judge said in the order passed on February 1.
The judge ruled that, if Aesha has any “real” complaints against Dhawan, she cannot be prevented from bringing them to the appropriate authorities, but she can be restrained from discussing them publicly and with her friends, family, and peers before bringing them up with the proper authorities.
“Therefore, in these circumstances, she is hereby restrained till further order from circulating any of her grievance against Dhawan or her version of the dispute involved herein or the alleged defamatory and false material against him, to social media, to print media or to any other’ forum or to friends, relatives or colleagues of the parties,” the judge added.
In the meantime, Twitter showed solidarity for the star cricketer in his difficult time.

And feminist, pseudo liberals will start labelling him wife beater, molester and ask bcci to drop him from Indian team.
Males can be labelled and convicted before trial.
Jhonny depp is the finest example. If that man cannot be immune from it. Shikhar bhai ka toh kya hie hoga.
