He has been summoned by the Surat police for questioning in connection with the suicide of popular model Tania Singh. The 28-year-old Surat-based model, known for her work in fashion designing and modelling, tragically took her own life, sparking an investigation into the circumstances leading up to the incident.
The police investigation revealed that Tania Singh and Abhishek had been in contact in the past. Although they were not in touch recently. However, he has been called in for questioning as he was listed as a friend in Tania Singh’s contacts.
Surat Police’s ACP, V.R. Malhotra, stated that the model had messaged Abhishek Sharma on his mobile, but there was no response from the cricketer. Abhishek Sharma’s number was found in the call details of Tania Singh’s phone, leading to his summons for further questioning.
Authorities have released a CD-R report related to Tania Singh’s suicide, providing additional insights into the case. The police plan to send a notice to Abhishek Sharma via WhatsApp for the upcoming interrogation.
