IPL 2023: 5 Players to watch out for in PBKS vs SRH
These 5 players can provide some exceptional performances today.
The 14th match of the Indian Premier League 2023 will be played between Sunrisers Hyderabad(SRH) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday, April 9. Many fans expected SRH to perform well after their outstanding picks in the mini-auction but that didn’t happen as they lost their first two matches of the tournament.
Meanwhile, PBKS who also picked some great players in the auction, performed really well in the tournament so far as they have won their first two matches. On that note, we will take a look at 5 players to watch out for in SRH vs PBKS.
1. Prabhsimran Singh
The young sensation of PBKS, Prabhsimran Singh had a brilliant start in the tournament as he announced his arrival with an explosive innings against Rajasthan Royals. The 22-year-old is given a license to smash every ball in the powerplay and he made full use of it against RR by smashing 60 runs off just 34 deliveries which included 7 fours and 3 sixes.
2. Adil Rashid
SRH clashed against Lucknow Supergiants on Friday, April 7 and once again their batting lineup failed to perform as they were bundled out for just 121 runs. Chasing the target, the bowlers failed to put any pressure on the LSG batters due to which they easily chased the target with 4 overs to spare. However, English leg-spinner Adil Rashid gave some moments of joy by picking two consecutive wickets. He can be a threat to Punjab’s batters as well.
3. Nathan Ellis
Punjab Kings’ Kagiso Rabada wasn’t available for the first two matches but Australian speedster Nathan Ellis didn’t let the team feel Rabada’s absence as he produced a match-winning bowling performance against RR by taking 4 wickets and was also named player of the match. SRH batters are already struggling against the Pacers, considering that, Ellis might be the biggest threat for them.
4. Aiden Markram
SRH’s skipper Aiden Markram missed the first match of the tournament due to national duties. But came back for the second match, however, he failed to put any impact on the team as he got out on a golden duck against LSG. But he can play a great role against PBKS with his both batting and bowling skills.
5. Shikhar Dhawan
Shikhar Dhawan has got relief as Prabhsimran has taken the responsibility to smash the ball in the powerplay. In the first two games, the veteran has been a superb anchor for Punjab, and it has paid off. He has scored 126 runs in just two innings, and he will be eager to keep it up when they play SRH. Dhawan, who has previously played for SRH, will be in familiar surroundings and attempting to get revenge on his old employers.
