#1 Ishan Kishan- Mumbai

Ishan Kishan, the young Mumbai opener, has a lot riding on him this season. He was the season’s most expensive purchase, but he failed to live up to expectations. He’d try to get back on track and get some good runs this time. He recently scored a double century in ODI cricket but was unable to keep his place in the team. The 24-year-old will have to prove his role in the team to the Indian team management.

Despite performing well in the Indian T20 League and on the domestic circuit, Prithvi Shaw has yet to earn a place in the Indian team. However, he will try to put that behind him and run for Delhi again this season. In the last season, Shaw scored 283 runs in 10 appearances for Delhi. During the season, he had a strike rate of nearly 153 and scored two half-centuries. He would look to get some more runs under his belt this time.

Ruturaj Gaikwad, the Orange Cap winner for the 2021 season, has quickly established himself as a key member of the Chennai team. He had a slight dip in 2022 after a stellar performance in 2021 (635 runs). He scored 368 runs, including three half-centuries in the 2022 season. He also came close to his second century of the tournament, as his best score for 2022 was 99 runs. The 26-year-old will look to get good results this time as well.

Jos Buttler is one of the most valuable players to have played in the Indian T20 League. The Rajasthan opener had a fantastic season in 2022 as he guided his team to a place in the final, which they lost to Gujarat. He was on a roll as he scored 863 runs in the season, including four centuries and four half-centuries. His strike rate of close to 150 was also very impressive. He will look forward to another good season with the inaugural season champions.
