Rajasthan and Delhi will face each other at the D.Y. Patil Stadium in Mumbai on May 11. Both teams have a completely different outing in the tournament. The 2008 winners need one more win to almost qualify for the playoffs. On the other hand, losing one more game can get Delhi’s campaign in jeopardy. This is the second time both teams will be playing each other this season. The last time they played, the Men In Pink emerged victorious by 15 runs. With a place in the knockouts at stake, it could be a mouth-watering contest.

Team News

Rajasthan: After having tough games against Mumbai and Kolkata, the Sanju Samson-led side came back to winning ways against Punjab. Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was playing the game after warming the bench for a few games, scored an impactful half-century. Rajasthan currently have 14 points and are sitting on the third spot in the points table. Shimron Hetmyer, who recently became a father, has flown back home and will most likely miss the coming game. In his place, Rajasthan may bring in Rassie van der Dussen or even James Neesham.

Key Players:

Jos Buttler: Despite some off and on performance in last few games, Jos Buttler is one batter Delhi will be most concerned about. The current holder of the Orange Cap, Buttler has lit up the tournament with some blazing performances. He has scored 618 runs in 11 games and is looking good to get a few more under his belt.

Yuzvendra Chahal: The leading wicket-taker of the tournament took a three wickets in the last game against Punjab where bowlers from both teams had a field day. He has the ability to strike whenever the team needs. So far, he has taken 22 wickets in 11 games. With wickets getting slow, Chahal will be a big threat for the Delhi team.

Probable XI: Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson (c & wk), Devdutt Padikkal, Jimmy Neesham/Rassie van der Dussen, Riyan Parag, R Ashwin, Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Sen

Team News

Delhi: The team hasn’t been able to deliver consistent performance in the tournament. In their last game against Chennai, they were beaten badly by 91 runs. The team has missed the services of Prithvi Shaw, who was admitted to hospital after a fever. He might be able to play the upcoming game which means Ripal Patel might have to sit out and KS Bharat might be demoted in the batting order.

Key Players:

David Warner: He has been the pillar of the team’s batting since joining in the middle of the season. He is one of the successful overseas batters in the few years and has lived up to the reputation of a match winner. Warner has so far scored 375 runs in just 8 games at an average of 53.57. The left-hander will be the key to success for Delhi in the next game.

Kuldeep Yadav: The left-arm wrist spinner has been one of the key bowlers for the team this season since his four. He is the fourth highest wickettaker of the tournament with 18 wickets in 11 games. However, he is coming off a bad game against Chennai. Kuldeep will be keen to bounce back stronger and narrow the gap with Purple cap holder Yuzvendra Chahal, who has 22 wickets

Probable XI: David Warner,  Prithvi Shaw/Ripal Patel, Mitchell Marsh,  Rishabh Pant (capt. & wk),  Rovman Powell,  Axar Patel, KS Bharat,  Shardul Thakur,  Kuldeep Yadav, Anrich Nortje, Khaleel Ahmed

Pitch Report: The last game at the venue between Chennai and Delhi saw the Yellow Army batters enjoying their time in the middle.
