Let’s look at all the details of the upcoming match.
India vs England second T20I:
India:
The Indian team came up with a sensational performance after their heartbreaking loss in the fifth Test. A clinical performance from them managed to blow away the home team and get their confidence back.
All of India’s top-order batters played with a strike rate over 150, a stark contract in their approach previously. Hardik Pandya was the top scorer for the team with a knock of 51 out of 33 balls. Deepak Hooda also continued his rich vein of form and hit a quickfire 33 off of just 17 balls with three boundaries and two massive sixes. India were able to reach 198/8 in 20 wickets.
The second T20I will mark the return of senior players Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja to the team. Most would be incorporated straight into the team.
England: The Test side of England outperformed the Indian side to win the fifth Test. The white-ball team however did not show similar quality. Their bowlers went for many runs but it was their batters who did even poorer. Coming on to chase a big target, it was expected to be a competitive run chase. However, the quality of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Arshdeep Singh prevailed. None of England’s batters was able to deal with both Indian seamers. Both openers Jason Roy (4) and Jos Buttler (0) got out cheaply and the team could not recover from then on.
In the end, the England side were left 50 runs short and lost the match.
