Ahead of the Super Four game between India and Pakistan, fans are closely monitoring the weather conditions. Despite the high chances of rain throughout the game, the current weather is looking good. So far, the Sri Lanka leg of the tournament has hosted three games in Kandy, and all were interrupted due to rain.

However, this stage will be played in Colombo, and despite high rain chances, the Asian Cricket Council didn’t change the schedule. Meanwhile, the latest weather forecast reveals that there are up to 60 per cent chances of rain throughout the day. It’s worth noting that Colombo is set to face a thunderstorm during the game. However, after Saturday’s game between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, the chances of rain are higher, and it will affect India’s match against Pakistan.

Speaking about the game, both Pakistan and India will be keen to continue their dominance in the tournament. Pakistan will be looking to continue their winning run in this format. Their bowling has surely been a force to reckon with and their batting which already looked solid has strengthened with the likes of Imam-ul-Haq and Iftikhar Ahmed hitting valuable runs ahead of this fierce clash against India in Colombo

Reserve Day controversy hits the Asia Cup ahead of Super 4 games

Ahead of the Super Four game between India and Pakistan, the Asian Cricket Council announced a reserve day for the high-voltage clash. However, this sparked controversy among fans and cricket pundits as there is no reserve day for other matches. After much backlash from fans and former cricketers, the ACC and other cricket boards revealed that it was a common decision.

“The reserve day for the India-Pakistan contest of the Super 11 Asia Cup Super 4 stage was taken in consultation with all four member boards of the Super 4 competing teams. Accordingly, the ACC effectively revised the playing conditions of the tournament to effect the agreed-upon change. Asia Cup 2023,” Sri Lanka Cricket wrote on Twitter.
