After sealing a win in the second ODI against New Zealand in Raipur, India is all set to host the black caps in Indore. The Men in Blue have been in fantastic form throughout the series, with the majority of the players performing impressively. Having already won the series 2-0, India will look forward to another whitewash against New Zealand. The team will look to make a few changes to the team, but not many, keeping the ODI World Cup in mind. Here is India’s predicted XI for the 3rd ODI.

Top Order

Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli

India’s top order looks very settled at the moment, and Shubman Gill, in particular, has been at the top of his game. The rising star has already scored a double-century in the series and is looking forward to another strong performance.

His opening partner and India’s skipper, Rohit Sharma, has also looked in decent touch throughout the series. He scored a quick-fire half-century in the last match and will look to end the series on a high. On the other hand, Virat Kohli has not had the best start in the series. However, given his excellent form, a good knock might be just around the corner.

Middle Order

Ishan Kishan (wk), Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Shahbaz Ahmed

The middle order of the team is filled with powerful hitters. Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, and Suryakumar Yadav can all score runs at a quick pace. The team will only look to make one change in the middle order. Shahbaz Ahmed can replace Washington Sundar since he has not had much impact in the series.

In addition, Pandy and Amhed will be very handy with the ball. The Indian Vice Captain has already picked up three wickets in the series and would want to get a few more in the kitty. Ahmed would also look to chip in with the ball.

Bowlers

Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Umran Malik

The Indian bowling unit was on fire in the last match as they managed to keep the Kiwis at bay. Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj played at the top of their game to dismiss the top-order batters. However, the team management will look to make some changes to the playing XI.

Yuzvendra Chahal and Umran Malik might get a place in the starting XI in place of Kuldeep Yadav and Shardul Thakur. While Kuldeep has not done much wrong, Chahal might get a game keeping the upcoming ODI World Cup in mind.
