Hall of Famer legend, Bill Apter explains Hulk Hogan-Shawn Michaels rivalry

Hall of Famer, Bill Apter has explained the rivalry between Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels. Apter said that Hogan wasn’t ready to lose to Michaels. Talking about Hulkster (Hogan) vs The Heartbreak Kid (Michaels) game in the Summer Slam 2005, the fans remember it fondly. The match also became famous thanks to Michaels’over the top-selling. Apter bumped across Hulkster which the fans found hilarious.

Meanwhile, at the time, both, Michaels and Hogan were supposed to have two games. However, when the former made it clear that he could only wrestle once, WWE was forced to let go off the second game. 18 years later, Apter has said that Hulk would have hated losing to Michaels.

“He didn’t want to lose to Shawn Michaels. I know Hogan really well, and it just didn’t fit, as far as I’m concerned,” said Bil Apter.

On the other hand, another Hall of Famer, Eric Bischoff was speaking on his podcast 83 Weeks. In the show, he said that he lost all respect for Shawn.

“I lost all respect for Shawn. It was pretty clear. There was an issue between Hulk and Shawn. There was a lack of respect, I think, there, perhaps some jealousy on Shawn’s part that, ‘Here’s this Hulk Hogan. He’s still here. He’s still the guy.’ I don’t know. I wasn’t close to Shawn at that point,” said Eric Bischoff.
