Ranji Trophy is one of the most coveted domestic tournaments not only in India but across the globe. It has helped India to secure big talents who have gone on to become the backbone of the national team.

Despite having high fame, there are always altercations happening either between the players on the pitch or between fans and players. One such altercation happened in the ongoing season of Ranji game between Saurabh Tiwary and the fans.

Jharkhand were up against Services in the Group Stage fixture. Services scored 307 in the first innings whereas Jharkhand piled 551 in return before declaring the innings. While Jharkhand were batting, the altercation happened between Saurabh Tiwary and the fan.

The fan continuously tried to mock Saurabh Tiwary by asking rudely when he would come to bat. The fan could be heard saying:

“Abe Saurabh, kab aayega batting karne.”

Initially, Saurabh Tiwary decided to neglect the hurled words. However, as the rant increased, the player responded saying:

“Ghar jana hain ki nahi. Match dekhne aya hain match dekh (Don’t you want to go home safely? You have come to watch the match and do that!)”
