Reports of Mukesh Ambani willing to buy Arsenal leaves fans in splits

Mukesh Ambani, the owner of the Mumbai franchise in the Indian T20 League, might as well step into the football world. Notably, the Mumbai owners already have a team in the SA20 league named ‘MI Cape Town’ and a UAE-based International T20 League named ‘MI Emirates’. Eventually, fans are long awaiting to know if the tenth richest man in the world would eventually buy a football club.

The Arsenal franchise is currently owned by Kroenke Sports & Entertainment and eventually reports emerged claiming that Mukesh might go for Arsenal if they enter the football world. Notably, the reports claimed further that Mukesh’s son, Aakash, is a big fan of the club and if at all they buy the club, it would be a big achievement for not only them but for the entire Indian nation.

Would Mukesh Ambani be able to buy Arsenal?

Eventually, the Gunners are the leaders of the points table this year and this comes on the back of their continued stupendous form in the ongoing season. As far as their 2022/23 season is concerned, they have won 12 games out of the 14 that they have played and have lost only one game so far.

Taking cognizance of the same, fans started questioning if Mukesh was richer than Stan Kroenke and a few Indians rebutted by saying that the Indian billionaire was far richer than the current owner of the club. With the Gunners already in top–notch form, it remains to be seen if a change in ownership would affect their run in the stupendous tournament, given that nothing is confirmed as of yet.

On the other hand, it would be pure joy for the Indian fans who closely follow the Premier League and one has to agree that the tournament has too many followers from the Indian subcontinent as well. One could only imagine the impact it would create if India’s own billionaire finds a way to buy the club.

As things stand, let us take a look at a few Twitter reactions to the reports:
