Team India won the three-match T20I series against England in what seemed like small revenge for their loss in the fifth Test. The white ball team, filled with youngsters played an aggressive brand of cricket to sweep away the English side.

After watching India play against a quality T20 side in this series as well as in the India-South Africa, the fans and experts have gotten a good idea of a player who is valuable and those whose absence would not make a dent on the Indian team.

Suryakumar Yadav

Suryakuamar Yadav came up with a sensational century (114 off 55) in the third T20I against England in a match where everyone struggled. The second-highest score for the team for example was 28 runs.

In 19 T20I that he has played for the country, the Mumbai batter has scored 537 runs at an eye-watering strike rate of 177.23. His valuation for the team is more apparent when you know that none of the Indian batters who have played more than 10 T20I matches has a strike rate of over 150.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has had a difficult time with injuries and has often been in and out of the team for a couple of years. His recent form, starting with the Indian T20 League however has been immense.

In the Indian T20 League 2022, he took 12 wickets with an economy of 7.54. In the India- South Africa series he was also the second-highest wicket-taker with six in four matches. Against Ireland, he did the same and against England he took four wickets in two matches, getting their openers out with unplayable deliveries.

Stats however do not show the amount of pressure he puts on the opposition batters and nullifies whatever aggression they might have planned for.

The Test captain against England, Jasprit Bumhah is the best bowler that India has right now. His yorkers and his late bouncers are deadly for any batter in the world and the Ahmedabad born is unplayable on his day.

Now with added confidence and leadership skills, the right-arm pacer is among the most valuable players in the Indian team. The right-arm pacer would be very important for India’s chances in the upcoming world cup in Australia.

Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya has had a resurgence in form after being out with injury. The right-handed all-rounder, led him Gujarat team to a title win in their inaugural season. In 15 matches the Choryasi-born made 487 runs with an average of 44.27.

He also led the Indian side to a 2-0 T20I series win against Ireland. Not only has he regained his form but also gained leadership skills that would be very helpful to the Indian side going forwards.

Yuzvendra Chahal

Yuzvendra Chahal is probably the best bowler when it comes to breaking partnerships. There are often times when two opposing batters are taking the game away from India when Yuzi is brought into action.

The right-arm spinner was the highest wicket-taker in this season’s Indian T20 League with 27 wickets in 17 matches. He would be instrumental to India’s chances in the upcoming T20I World Cup later this year.
